Collection / benefit auction
A special thank you to the artists whom have donated their work.
Every donation adds to a wonderful collection for an exhibition and benefit auction.
I have spoken with two well known galleries in NYC, one which is also an auction house ( for 20th century art and design ), along with a gallery in Chicago which is also an auction house ( for 20th century art and design ), both expressed interest in an exhibition and benefit auction. I am well established in the International art and design community, and as a result I am assembling a great collection of sketches, drawings, paintings, prototypes, furniture, antiques, and objects which are all donations. I am personally including everything I own, which includes: a beautiful sketch by Philippe Starck, all of my full scale pen and pencil renderings for my 1993 Knoll “Catcus Collection”, along with several prototypes, the last ( 2 ) tables produced by Knoll which I have signed dated and added a special paragraph, all of my sketches and sketchbooks, my drawings, and art collection ( which is mainly my substantial collection of Adolf Benca's paintings, monoprints, drawings, and sketchbooks ). Even the sketchbook for the Center for Inspiration ( several sketches shown in the section: and a Dream ), is for sale. I realized the moment I woke after a 10 hour surgery, I now have the chance to sell everything, and do something extremely rewarding - put all the proceeds into this foundation.
The following are a few of the donations, I have received so far:
